Ulster County Healthy Families Healthy Families partners with Ulster County families from pregnancy through age five. We are a free and voluntary program, and our expert staff come to you! We meet with families to provide: · Support in creating a birth vision and preparing for labor and delivery · Breastfeeding support with Certified Lactation Counselors · Newborn and infant care support · Interactive play to encourage your child’s development · Child development screening and enrichment · Information and activities for school readiness · Support in accessing preventative healthcare · Connection to other resources · And so much more! Eligibility: Anyone pregnant or parenting a newborn (under 3 months old) and lives in Ulster County.

WIC offers many benefits including nutritious food vouchers,nutrition counseling, health screenings,breastfeeding support, and more to qualifying pregnant and nursing women, infants and children under 5. By participating in the WIC program, you can make sure that you receive good nutrition, quality health services, and nutrition education to make you, your baby, and children grow up strong.

The Breastfeeding Initiative of Ulster County (BIUC) is a group of organizations and individuals committed to increasing breastfeeding rates in Ulster County, New York through promotion, protection, and support. We can help you connect with the many support groups, resources and educational opportunities in Ulster County. We welcome all Hudson Valley families – you don’t have to live in Ulster County to participate!
